So, almost a year ago…

In a day that will live on in pain, I dug up the conifer bushes in the front of our house and we replaced them with 2 Azaleas and 1 Hydrangea. Here is the one year update.

These were the baby conifer bushes. Clearly, there are three. I had no idea how they would turn out nor did I know what type of bushes they were.
I didn’t take a picture before I began and this is the best one I have. Ignore the Christmas decorations and see the size of the bushes. Tall task…
I cut off all of the branches and packed them in garbage bags…
The roots were deep and spread out. This is the root structure of just one bush…
All the hard work is done. All three were removed and put out by the road.
This is the Hydrangea. One of the Azaleas is doing well and the other got a little nipped in one of the unexpected freezes in the early spring…

I am very happy with how it turned out. Dana is overjoyed that the conifer bushes are gone. I kinda am, too. Anyway, that is the one year update with a little background info of then and now…
