Office Tour Fall 2023

I think my office has come a long way in the past couple of years and I can’t resist sharing with my readers. So here goes…

This is my work setup. I wanted an MSi setup, so I purchased my own setup. I think it’s better that way…

Work Setup includes a MSi Vigor GK20 RGB keyboard and a MSi GM20 RGB Gaming Mouse (I have the same ones a my desk in the office. I brought them in from home…) plus an MSi Pro MP243 Monitor. I also have quite a bit of Atlanticus swag around…

This is my main Mac setup.

This setup and my switch from Intel-based Macs to Apple Silicon-based Macs has been documented along with everything in the setup except I have different speakers now.

This is my gaming PC setup.

I have chronicled this in another blog post, Evolution of a Build. Yes, I know the picture is as crooked as a politician… No, I don’t have a blog post detailing that. 🙂

Also, not shown are my laptops. Both of which I did review posts for. MSi and Apple.

Note: In this picture is my wall of Alabama memorabilia and fun stuff…

Alabama Memorabilia … and some Braves, too.

If you ignore the junk pile, you will see my continued wall of Alabama stuff and also the two Alabama signed footballs. The one on the left is a Dre Kirkpatrick autographed football and the one on the right is an Eddie Lacy and DJ Fluker autographed football. Both were presents from Dana. I did not and should have taken a better picture of my autographed baseball collection. Few notable ones: Chipper Jones, Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux (great Valentine’s gift!), Dale Murphy, Don Sutton and John Smoltz.

Braves Memorabilia

This wall has more hanging memorabilia and the bookcase of bobbleheads. Some of my favorites are Andruw Jones, Chipper Jones, Bobby Cox, Greg Maddux, Craig Kimbrel, Austin Riley and Matt Olson … oh and Skip and Pete.

In front of that to the side of my gaming PC is Dana’s old desk I have turned it into a place to film overhead videos. That holder used to be hers as well. On it is my Super Mario Sunshine beach towel that I got as a bonus for purchasing the game from Toys R Us.

Media Wall

Behind me is my media wall. I have my retro-ish entertainment system with a small-ish 32″ TV with a Nintendo Wii and a PS4. In the bottom of the cabinet has my dual-cassette deck, turntable, stereo receiver, and an HD-DVD player. I have a small collection of 45’s as well. The bookshelf speakers are connected the the stereo and the soundbar is connected to the TV. There is alot going on here.

To the far left are two more pieces of Braves memorabilia from recent championships… more great gifts I received from Dana and my niece, Jessica.

Above the entertainment center has a shelf with two vintage Macs but more importantly that those is a box Dana bought to keep the remains of our late cat, Bama. She was very special. She passed 2 years ago. Doesn’t seem that long…

CD’s and games collection

This is my collection of compact discs (CD) and games for the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo GameCube, and PS4. Some may notice the Coleco Head-to-Head baseball game from the late 70’s or early 80’s. Really neat.

Autographed CDs

I got the Megadeth CD from the Megadeth Cyber Army and the Lamb of God CD from Amazon. Even though I didn’t get these myself, they are still special. I have also a signed CD by Damon Fox (BigElf) that he signed for me. I also have a signed Jason Aldean CD I got for Dana. It’s hers but it is in my collection.

Vinyl

Here is my collection of vinyl LP’s. From the Beatles to John Denver Michael Jackson to Prince to Motley Crue and to Metallica… It’s mostly rock/metal but I have a couple of Prince LP’s and a Michael Jackson, too.

Gaming Chair

I finally bought a “gaming” chair. No, it doesn’t game but it is very comfortable. I got two floor mats so I could move the chair from one desk to the next. It has a foot rest but I never use it. If I had wireless keyboards, maybe I could lean back and use the computer….

That’s it for my office tour. I don’t expect much to change in 2024. I have everything I could want and more. I am extremely blessed to have these things to show you. That is not lost on me. This post isn’t meant to brag or boast. It’s meant to share and maybe even spark conversations about why I have what I do…

Please enjoy the post for what it is and not project it to be something it’s not. Thank you, kindly.
