So, my friends, Kevin and Hilary, invited me out to Andretti Racing on Friday night. Well, sure. I’ve never been and it looked like fun… and thus, I met them there a little past 8…
We checked it out. It felt much like a GameWorks like I had been to in Seattle several times. Plus, it has go-kart racing. And that’s what we did…

We got 8 minutes of racing. I was lapped by the top racer 8 times at least. I only completed 15 laps and was dead last on the leaderboard. I don’t think I ever got how to race the karts and I was so incredibly uncomfortable in the helmet and the karts (due to my stature…) but I did have fun. I think after a few more times (and maybe some practice runs on my own), I could get it down and run with the big boys. Also, I found it frustrating that the other guys we were racing against were rough. I got rear-ended a couple of times and sandwiched once even though I stayed to the inside and out of the way. I guess these are the veterens of the kart circuit!
Anyway, I did have a good time and am greatful that Kev and Hil invited me out. Much love to you both.
