People apparently can’t read or don’t care about the HOA rules. They actually sent out this letter earlier this week (I have done a fair bit of complaining about the parking here, myself…):
Yet on the way into my neighborhood last night, I saw no less than 3 cars parked on the street. I guess I am going to have to get involved in the enforcement of these rules since it is apparent that it’s going to continue, newsletter or not.
There also have been some emails back and forth between the board and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office about people constantly running stop signs (another of my complaints). Here is a snippet of an email from the FCSO:
“I will send a traffic complaint to Special Operations and have them send a motor unit in there to make some stops and educate the public on just what that red octagonal sign means. There are numerous subdivisions on the list, and we only have 4 motors, but they should be able to hit it in the next few days to a week. They send me an after action report after doing it, and I will forward that information to my Neighborhood Watch liason Donna Terrell and you when I get it. I will also contact the Watch Commander for Uniform Patrol day shift and see if they can’t increase their presence in Whittington also.”
Wow… gonna have to have the sheriff’s department out here just to make sure people stop at STOP signs. Amazing.
