I got a call from my doctor yesterday. Apparently, the TriCor is working very well…
What my cholesterol was at my physical:
- 207 Total
- 199 Triglycerides
- 42 HDL (good cholesterol)
- 125 LDL (bad cholesterol)
After 6 weeks of the medicine:
- 180 Total
- 121 Triglycerides
- 40 HDL (good cholesterol)
- 116 LDL (good cholesterol)
The normal ranges are as follows:
- Total: 100 – 199
- Triglycerides: 0 – 149
- HDL: 40-59
- LDL: 0 – 99 (this used to be 0 – 125)
So, the doctor wants me to continue on the medicine, my exercise, and my diet (hahaha… diet!)… but the results are encouraging and I even missed a few days here and there… so, this is apparently good medicine and I didn’t stop drinking Sam Adams!
