At work
1.) People who spend too much time on the telephone. A call here and there is one thing. But half-hour conversations and dozens of calls is just too much. When I have to keep headphones on to keep from having to hear other people’s phone conversations just pisses me off. Especially at the volume it takes to drown them out. Sometimes, I get the feeling my ears are going to start bleeding.
2.) People who carry on too much personal conversation. I enjoy a chat. I do most of mine at the end of the day when things are winding down. Particuarly when I am on my way out of the door. Working straight through the day is very hard. Everybody needs breaks from work to refresh themselves. I am no different. But again, half-hour conversations are just a bit much during the work day.
3.) People who eat at their desks. Particuarly people who bring in hot foods. Sometimes, the food just stinks. I really don’t want to smell it. I might not like the smell of their food. When I do bring in food from the outside, 99% of the time, it’s sandwiches and chips. These don’t have smells that radiate.
On the road
1.) People who don’t turn on their lights when it’s raining.
2.) Popele who don’t turn on their lights when it’s dark.
3.) People who don’t use turn signals when changing lanes and when turning.
4.) People who constantly change lanes thinking it’s really going to get them ahead.
5.) People who cut off other people. People who cut me off.
6.) People who think they should get a pass because they drive a large SUV or an expensive luxury car. On the road, we are all equal just like we are in life.
At home
1.) My computers, particularly Windows, that don’t do what I tell them to do.
2.) My neighbor whose bass is constantly flowing through the wall and into my house. Either I can take it like I have been doing for a few weeks. Trying to not get too pissed off. Or I can fire back like I have the past couple of nights.
3.) People who park on the street knowing that it is against the HOA policy. Even at the mailbox. When the visitor parking is full like it normally is, I can’t get my mail. That’s a bigger pet peeve but it fits in with this one.
4.) People who use the visitor parking as overflow parking knowing that it is against HOA policy. I.E. They have more vehicles than they can park in front of thier house. Especially, when they bought the vehicle while living there.
5.) People who park across two parking spots. As if their car or they are any better than anybody else. This may or may not be against HOA policy specifically, but it is just rude.
6.) People who parking in one of my two designated parking spots when they are not there to visit me. This is also against HOA policy.
7.) People who litter in my “yard.” I may not have alot of “yard” facing the road, but littering on it is just sad. Just like the 2 litre Diet Coke bottle I found in my “yard” last week. Just sad.
8.) People who don’t stop at the stop signs. Since, there are never police around. Why stop? At least that’s what alot of people in my neighborhood do. They yeild but don’t stop. Some of them don’t even bother to yeild.
In general
1.) People who think they are better than others. We are all humans. We are all equal. Nobody is better than another. Some people make more money or have a better job. That doesn’t make them better.
2.) People who aren’s considerate. This needs no explanation.
3.) People who believe that they are above the rules. I.E. people who think their “shit doesn’t stink.”
4.) People who litter. This also needs no explanaton.
Yes, I might be idealistic in my thoughts. But people should just really be curteous around their neighbors. I might not work 100% of the day, but what I do doesn’t bother my neighors because it isn’t loud or obnoxious and it doesn’t stink. I am an ass, it is true, but more often than not, I am more of an ass to myself than everybody else. But it does annoy me when people do the items listed above.
