If you are here, thank you, this is what I found out this morning:
1.) The polyp on my gallbladder has been determined to be a “cholesterol” polyp. It is of no harm and has not changed since the last ultrasound [they have one file] from like 3 years ago.
2.) I still have a “fatty” liver and my doctor says that this is a result of my on-going cholesterol issue (most notably, my triglycerides are pretty high). After discussing a low-fat/low-carb diet (hahahahaha), I accepted a medication path. The medication is called “TriCor” and is apprently mainly for triglycerides… She gave me a 7 week supply and I am due back in 6 weeks for a new set of labs to determine how helpful that the medicine has been. She was impressed and happy that I was completely honest when discussing this. This IS my health and I don’t mess around with doctors.
So, all of my bad dreams about gallbladder issues and cancer were just that… bad dreams. But I don’t care to go on medication. I don’t have to stop drinking alcohol (thank goodness) but I do need to cut down when I do and how much I consume when I do… this can also have financial benefits as well 🙂
Anyway, that is it.
