Well, here at the Molenda household in sunny (and sometimes dreary) Alpharetta, Georgia, we took advantage of our income tax refund to do a little makeover to our living room. We basically discarded the old furniture, rugs, and curtains for a new fresh look…
Let’s look at how it used to look:
Yeah, it’s a bit cluttered. We loved the couch but it had seen it’s better days plus our cats … well, they weren’t kind to it.
Two new La-Z-Boy recliners, new area rug, curtains, and entertainment center highlight the changes. (Maddux likes the changes!)
Gone is the couch, the coffee table and entertainment center (already gone here) We actually used the ottoman during the couch’s last days.
Everything old is new again. The futon remains… new futon cover gives it a new look.
Living room is more open. Not so crowded or cluttered.
Cats have new places for their trees.
There they are… our “Archie and Edith” chairs. You can tell who’s is who’s by what we drink…
We (well, I) tried to buy as much as I could that was Made in the USA. We succeeded pretty well. Furniture is by Sauder (Made in Ohio), Futon Cover (Made somewhere in the USA), La-Z-Boy chairs (Made in Tennessee). I think we did as well as we could.
Anyway, this is our new and improved living room. This should last us for years to come.
