I stopped at the Lighthouse Grill to have lunch at my midway point. The view out of the window was something like this... but not exactly. I took a picture from across the street (on the sidewalk bordering the beach.)
Of course, from Alki Beach (in West Seattle), you can see downtown Seattle. This is what makes this area such an attractive place (and very expensive) place to buy a house. My grandfather bought his house 35 years ago...before the explosion. Realize that Microsoft and many other high profile high-tech companies are in Seattle...money can be had if you want to live there and know your stuff...
A great night for baseball...Mariner style...
