Ah, CPUs…
Example CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
I am not a true fan of Geekbench. It is a good tool, but results are often varied and not a true representation of a CPU’s true power. Most PC hardware review sites do not use Geekbench for any metrics. The only reason I have done it here is because it is the only tool that is fully cross-platform. macOS, Windows, iOS, iPadOS, and Android. It is at least something that is quantitive and comparative. So with that in mind, I ran GeekBench 5 on every device I have so see how my devices scale from the very slow to the very fast.

Which is faster? One would say, “The iMac for sure….”, but others might say “iPhone 11 Pro” because it feels faster. Benchmarks, especially generic benchmarks, are just a way to measure approximate performance differences between devices. As we can see, my iPhone 11 Pro Max has a higher single score score than my iMac. I would venture that my iMac would beat the iPhone in any real-world tasks handily. I guess it is all perspective.
