Event 5: The West Seattle Street Fair
We took a short car ride down to the West Seattle Street Fair. There were bands and tents/booths set up for the local merchants. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I bought a Platypus CD for 2 bucks. How sweet is that? I don't know of any street fairs here in Atlanta. No pictures of this event.
Event 6: The Boat Ride
We took a boat ride on Lake Washington for several hours on Monday the 12th... what an awesome time. I actually got out on the 3-man tube and was pulled around the lake. We also trolled around Lake Union and went by ol' Billy Gates' house. There was quite a bit of activity at the Gates' household. Unfortunately, I took no pictures of this event...
Event 7: Bellingham
I spent some time at my Uncle Nick's in Bellingham, WA. It is about 1.5 hours north of Seattle near the US/Canada border. It is also very close to Mt. Baker, which my uncle and my cousin, Nate have climbed. Me...I am more like a mountain that climbing a mountain...anyway, we cooked out and had great conversation. My cousin, Nate, is a great guitarist. I got to jam with him for a while. I almost sounded like I knew what I was doing! Like the others on this page, no pictures.
Event 8: Pioneer Square
Although it has changed quite a bit since I was there last, we decided to check out The Speedles at the Central Saloon. I never thought I'd ever hear the Beatles quite like this. Imagine the Ramones and the Beatles fused into one band and you'd have the Speedles. They played a wide range of Beatles songs in their unique way. And no, still no pictures. In fact, I'd probably have to sneak in a camera phone to get pictures of this!
THE END.
Again, I would like to thank
- My uncle Andy and my aunt Beverly for taking me in again and for all of the places and things that we did.
- My uncle James and my aunt Carrie for everything including having me over for a nice cookout before I flew home.
- My uncle Nick and aunt Janet for letting me stay with them for one night of my trip.
Without you guys, this wouldn't be much of a trip.
