The Meet-Up and The Show

I met up with AntiPopular (Josh), kbrooks0o0 (Kyle), Disappear (Amit), and PeterGriffith (Nikhil)... first at the Hard Rock and then we went bar happing... I had like 9 beers overall and was a bit hammered by the time we got to the show. We met this guy at the last bar we went to and Josh, Kyle, and I had the guy believing that we were in Dream Theater... "you guys are in the band?" me: "yeah, I play bass."

Then we finally made it to the show... and it was amazing... the sound (to me) during the opening bands: Into Eternity and Redemption was really bad... I just am not sure if I like them (though I saw Into Eternity open with Nevermore for Opeth). Anyway, by the time Dream Theater got on stage, the sound was fixed and I was a happy guy!

During "The Dark Eternal Night" the security guy came over and told me to stop taking pictures with my cell phone... I was actually taking video at that time... he said he saw me twice (and I had done more than that!) and I said "ok" and I put my phone up... about 5 minutes later, I got a tap on the shoulder and it was a Baltimore Policeman who told me to stop. I told him that it was cool and I had already stopped. Seriously, what? The pictures that it made sucked royally... you can't even tell who's on stage...

Other than that ... I had an amazing time at the meet-up and the show... I am really happy that I decided to go.

The setlist was amazing except "I Walk Beside You" is not one of my favorites, but the rest... I couldn't have asked for a much better setlist with only a 2 hour show...
