Even though I know that in next six months or so, the RX 5000 series cards will most likely be replaced with RX 6000 series cards and perhaps, the RX 5000 series will replace the RX 500 series cards as the entry-level cards. This is all speculation, but it is something that many in the YouTube community agree may happen. But, I wanted an upgrade and I got some pretty good performance upgrades over my RX 570. I am going to go over the numbers and you will see why I went ahead and made the upgrade.<\/p>\n

Right now has been a poor time to buy a GPU. All of the new parts that have been release have not been available, and then the older parts started going out of stock as well or over-inflated prices. The card I bought is the Asus Dual RX 5600XT<\/a>. \u00a0I did pay MSRP for it, so I know I didn’t overpay. \u00a0That’s part of the reason I bought this particular card. \u00a0I did want an MSi card, but in the end, the performance between the two cards will be essentially the same. \u00a0It’s just about brand preference. \u00a0Asus makes great products, so I have no issues with the Asus brand. \u00a0Hence, my purchase…<\/p>\n

Here is a look at the physical card differences between the RX 570 (PowerColor Red Dragon) vs RX 5600XT (Asus Dual)<\/p>\n

Aside from the size differences, there are some major performance differences\u2026 at least 50% increases to as much as 70% increases. I did over-clock both cards, but there was much less wiggle room with this RX 5600XT because it came with a factory over-clock, but I did squeeze a few percent out of it. Not really enough to really notice, but I did it anyway. Let\u2019s take a look at the numbers.<\/p>\n

The thing about technology is that if you wait for the next best thing, you may never buy anything. For all of the game titles, I used the built-in benchmark tools.
