So, why did I decide to rebuild? I wanted to re-do the cable management. Since I did my original build, I upgraded the RAM and purchased a video card. RAM has dropped dramatically over the last few months. I picked up a 16GB kit (2×8) for less than the 8GB kit (2×4) I purchased when I did the original build…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I found a helluva deal on an AMD RX570 video card, so I decided to pick that up as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This case is not really good for great cable management, so let’s try this again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was a fun project and now my build is finally done. One can always upgrade, but I don’t feel a need to… Runs games at 1080p pretty well. I am not doing content creation with this machine, but eventually programming and gaming….<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope you enjoyed reading about my rebuild. I have included a comprehensive list of parts I used. This build was under 1000. So, yes, you can build a gaming PC under 1000. I think mine was closer to 700, but definitely under 1000. I sold old console gaming equipment I had lying around to help fund my build and it was worth it. There is always a way to obtain what you want. You just have to figure out a way… <\/p>\n\n\n\n
