<\/p>\n\n\n\n I said it was a very unique case. It is a matter of taste whether you think it’s cool or it’s ugly. I don’t think it’s ugly, but I wouldn’t build a personal build in one. Raidmax doesn’t have the greatest reputation for build quality but they have value cases. My initial build was in a Raidmax case. Never again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I never got benchmarks on this particular system, but the 2600x was decent upgrade over the 1600x. The 2000 series Ryzen chips were called Zen+ (of course, the 1000 series were the Zen chips). This mean that they went from a 14nm process to a 12nm process. This allowed the chips to be clocked higher with also having a better (slightly better) thermal footprint. If you had a 1600x, not really an upgrade. This wouldn’t happen until the Zen 2 3600x, which as 7nm. This was the first serious upgrade for Zen owners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I really did (if I remember correctly! This was April 2019, ya know) enjoy this build. If for nothing else, the uniqueness of the case from the usual cases I built in. There were a few others like the Quadstellar that I built in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I hope you enjoyed this look back at interesting builds from my career at Fry’s.
