Unboxing My New Graphics Card

It’s been a while… I am back with a few blog posts this week. Going to start with the new GPU I bought in January. The RX 6750XT. The reason I upgraded: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. That game requires 8GB or VRAM; however 12GB or more is recommended AND it also requires ray-tracing. My old card, the RX 5600XT did not have either of those components.

Here is a look at my card. I got the XFX Reference Design model. So, it only says “Radeon” on it and nowhere does it say, “XFX”

The Box
The top came off…
High anticipation…
And there it is…
Out of the box…
It’s a beaut!
Somehow, I didn’t get a pic of it in the old case… the is a sneak peek at what’s to come this week.

It was already a generation behind as the RX 7000 series was already out and established. And then I knew AMD was to introduce the newest series, the RX 9000 series in a month or so, but I feared the prices of newer graphics cards and it turns out, I was right to buy and I am not someone who buys the mid-range or high-range graphics cards. I don’t need the FPS that others do or the ultimate in graphical fidelity. I am after fun and something that looks good (to me) and has decent FPS and this card does that PLUS it is good enough for a good time with Indiana Jones. I have moved on from that game once I beat it but I go back to it every now and then.

On to the next post. If all goes well, it will be tomorrow.
