{"id":550,"date":"2010-09-01T20:46:23","date_gmt":"2010-09-02T00:46:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mmolenda.com\/oldblog\/?p=550"},"modified":"2010-09-01T21:05:25","modified_gmt":"2010-09-02T01:05:25","slug":"lets-talk-about-a-commercial-i-heard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mmolenda.com\/oldblog\/?p=550","title":{"rendered":"Let&#8217;s talk about a commercial I heard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, heard, as in on the radio&#8230; that thing most people have abandoned!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anyway, there is a commercial running for a local attorney (I will leave his name out of this post) that opens the commercial like this:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat would you do if you accidentally killed another person?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Well, first, it would have to be another person, I\u2019d be dead if I killed myself.  And in the even that I did \u201caccidentally\u201d kill another person, I\u2019d do the rational and right thing and call the police.  Of course, I will never have to find this out&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Another line in the commercial:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have a client who is 41 years old and lives in a half-million dollar house.  He got into an argument with his wife and accidentally killed her.  His mistake was running to Mexico.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Umm, wasn\u2019t his mistake killing his wife?  Never mind running to Mexico.  Perhaps, if he didn\u2019t kill her, he would not have to had run to Mexico.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And the last line that pisses me off:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere will be 100,000 arrests in Atlanta this year.  None of those people expect that to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Really.  Not 1 of those people committed a crime and expects that one day that they won\u2019t be arrested?  Seriously, most of those people do know they did something wrong and deserve to be arrested.  <\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s a \u201ccreative criminal attorney.\u201d  Well, if I ever need a criminal attorney (that is a HUGE if), I wouldn\u2019t call this guy.  I\u2019d rather take a public defender than call this guy just based on this one commercial.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, heard, as in on the radio&#8230; that thing most people have abandoned!
