Let’s talk about a commercial I heard

Yes, heard, as in on the radio… that thing most people have abandoned!

Anyway, there is a commercial running for a local attorney (I will leave his name out of this post) that opens the commercial like this:

“What would you do if you accidentally killed another person?”

Well, first, it would have to be another person, I’d be dead if I killed myself. And in the even that I did “accidentally” kill another person, I’d do the rational and right thing and call the police. Of course, I will never have to find this out…

Another line in the commercial:

“I have a client who is 41 years old and lives in a half-million dollar house. He got into an argument with his wife and accidentally killed her. His mistake was running to Mexico.”

Umm, wasn’t his mistake killing his wife? Never mind running to Mexico. Perhaps, if he didn’t kill her, he would not have to had run to Mexico.

And the last line that pisses me off:

“There will be 100,000 arrests in Atlanta this year. None of those people expect that to happen.”

Really. Not 1 of those people committed a crime and expects that one day that they won’t be arrested? Seriously, most of those people do know they did something wrong and deserve to be arrested.

He’s a “creative criminal attorney.” Well, if I ever need a criminal attorney (that is a HUGE if), I wouldn’t call this guy. I’d rather take a public defender than call this guy just based on this one commercial.

Odd Facebook Ads

These sure don’t seem to go together… and are targeted at me? Really, a Gator ad? C’mon, Facebook, don’t you know me better than that?

I don’t hardly ever “like” anything on Facebook now because I know that they use that in targeting ads and other purposes. I ignore the ads anyway, unless they strike me as odd as these are collectively… and the fact that I do NOT like the Gators…. ROLL TIDE, BABY!

Our new Guest Room

This is the new guest room. Kevin and I painted this one. Dana decorated. I put the entertainment center together (well, most of it. Kevin got to the house in time to help me finish it out). This room used to house my drums and my weight machine. How I do miss my drums. Oh, they are not gone, but are in the attic. One day, I might get to play them again. That is, when we are able to sell this house and get a slightly bigger one…

On to the pics

This is actually a futon, so it can be setup to be like a couch.

The entertainment center. I use it sometimes, too. Phonograph and cassette deck… music of the past comes alive.

The new guest room looks great as well…. Just another of the rooms of our house that has had a dramatic remake.
